Confirmed in this sense would emerge from the operation "Playmaker", concluded by the DIA of Naples the 18 aprile 2023 with the execution of a ruling of precautionary custody76 to the charge of 18 persons including members of the AMATO-PAGANO clan and members of the elective compagine of the Municipality of Melito of Naples.

The subjects affected would be accused, in various ways, of mafia association, mafia political exchange, attacks on the political rights of the citizen, corruption, external complicity in mafia association and attempted extortion.

Serious evidence of the inquiries about the interference of certain clan members AMATO-PAGANO in the local electoral consultations of October 2021, through the promise of votes to candidates in exchange for money and other utilities for the chamoristic organization, as well as several extortions in damage of building entrepreneurs engaged in the construction of works in Melito di Napoli.

This last episode would indicate tensions with other camoristic groups operating in that territory, including the antagonist clan PISCOPO-GALLUCCI, which could take advantage of the power gaps that came to create to impose its leadership.

Presences of organized crime on national and foreign territory and contrast activities Antimafia In the territorial area of the Municipalities of Sant'Antimo, Casandrino and Grumo Nevano it is judicially ascertained that the existence and persistence of the Camoristic groups PUCA, VERDE and RANUCCI are characterized by the structure of a family type around which new levers are polarized and that in recent times suffer the absence of charismatic figures.

They, while remaining clearly distinct criminal entities, over the years have alternated relations of non- belligerence to phases of fierce conflict for the control of the territory and the dispute of illicit interests in the areas of extortion, infiltration in the legal economy, in the public administration and in the control of the plazas.

Precisely the dispute of the plazas in the territory of Sant'Antimo would be at the origin of the murder and the wounding of two prejudices occurred the 8 marzo 2023 and that the next 28 March led to the suspected arrest of murder 80 of 3 people accused of complicity in attempted murder and murder, aggravated by the mafia method.

Southern Province (Cercola, San Giorgio a Cremano, Portici, Ercolano, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, Torre del Greco, Torre Annunziata, Boscoreale, Boscotrecase, Pompeii, Castellammare di Stabia, Sant'Antonio Abate, Pimonte, Agerola, Penisola Sorrentina, Casola di Napoli, Letters).

The actuality of the conflict between the two criminal groups was last documented by the wounding of firearms, occurred in Ercolano the 16 marzo 2023, of an exponent of the ASCIONE-PAPALE clan by a member of the BIRRA-IACOMINO clan.

The ASCIONE-PAPALE clan, as well as the GALLO-LIMELLI-VANGONE Sodalizio of Boscoreale, Boscotrecase and Trecase, would have also extended its criminal influence in the neighboring Municipality of Torre del Greco, historical feud of the family FALANGA whose leadership is held or become state witnesses.

The GALLO-CAVALIERI and the GALLO-PISIELLI, also strong of the kinship constraints from which they are linked, have initially constituted a common front in order to counter the rival clans and then diverge and become distinct criminal formations.

In the course of the semester under review is the scarceness of an apical figure of the family GALLO-CAVALIERI and the nephew of the historical head of the clan GIONTA, the latter occurred after about a year from that of the grandmother and wife of the aforementioned boss.

In this regard, a recent investigation completed the 22 giugno 2023 by the Carabinieri with the execution of a decree of detention83 at the expense of 11 people, it would have accumulated, among other things, a renewed convergence of interests between the GIONTA and the GALLOCAVALIERI which from 2016 to 2023 would collaborate in the commission of multi-year extortion in damage of various enterprises of Torre Annunziata and Torre del Greco.

Traffic and drug trafficking, as with other realities, is one of the main sources of profit also for the criminal organizations of Torre Annunziata.

Here, in the second half of 2022, the Carabinieri performed a ruling of precautionary custody87 at the expense of a group of people accused of criminal conspiracy aimed at the spread of narcotics operating in the "Poverelli" of the Municipality of Oplontino.

The investigation is the development of the previous operation completed by the Carabinieri in August 2022 from which extensive use of minors in drug dealing had emerged.

From the Rione "of the Poverelli" of Torre Annunziata would also prove an impaired of considerable criminal thickness, involved in an investigation for traffic of drugs between Calabria and Campania conducted by the Guardia di Finanza under the coordination of the DDA of Salerno.

In the Municipalities of Boscoreale, Boscotrecase and Trecase would be confirmed the operativity of the clan GALLO-LIMELLI-VANGONE whose criminal vocation would be oriented to the traffic of drugs and to the control of the local squares of spaccio, in particular in the popular complex "Piano Napoli" of Boscoreale, as emerged from an investigative activity concluded by the Carabinieri in December 202289, which would include the provision of astonishment to the Sorrento Peninsula market.

The 15 marzo 2023, near the "Parco Penniniello" of Torre Annunziata, some strangers on board a motorcycle exploded some gunshots in the direction of the home of a local prisoner.

The 30 maggio 2023, in Torre Annunziata, unknown have exploded some gunshots in the direction of the dwelling of a subject related to the GALLO-CAVALIERI clan. On the site of the fact the Carabinieri found 4 casings and some ogives held in the iron door of the building.

During the night of the 21 marzo 2023, at the San Leonardo Hospital in Castellammare di Stabia, a subject arrived with four gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

From investigative reconstructions, the son of Capoclan would enter into business with a referent of the D'ALESSANDRO clan for the Sorrento Peninsula which, although detained, by means of a cell phone introduced clandestinely in the prison structure, would have given instructions to the companion to buy from the MARTINO clan cocaine and marijuana to be sold in the Sorrento area.

In the municipalities of Pimonte and Agerola, the operation of the AFELTRA clan, whose illicit interests are concentrated on extortion, in particular in the damage of entrepreneurs in the flourishing local dairy sector.

The already mentioned ALESSANDRO clan, from what emerged, would therefore extend its criminal influence also to the territories of the neighboring area of Sorrento where it would control the drug trafficking.

In fact, recent investigative activities would confirm that the rich Sorrento Peninsula is of widespread interest to criminal organizations from neighbouring areas as regards the emergence of narcotics.

In this regard, the ruling of precautionary custody92 carried out by the Carabinieri the 23 maggio 2023, which led to the arrest of 33 persons belonging to a criminal group with operational base in Vico Equensemble and dedicated to drug trafficking in the Sorrentine Peninsula, accused of detention and drug dealing as well as extortion, illegal detention of gunfire and prescription.

From the investigative activity it would have also emerged that the group had more references for the supply of the narcotics including the clans operating in the Penniniello Park of Torre Annunziata.
