Province of Ragusa In the province of Ragusa, two distinct mafia organizations have been coexisting for some time: the stedda rooted in the territories of Vittoria, Comiso, Acate and Scicli and Cosa Nostra which, influenced by the Catanian consorteries, is active in the remaining provincial area.

In Vittoria there is a substantially stable structure of the constituency in which the DOMINANTE-CARBONARO clan would be bestowed as a sodalizio of greater influence despite the state of detention of the promoter and regent202, the latter exponent of the squddaro dei MARMARARI.

Precisely in the Ipparina city, the mafia consorteries continue to infiltrate, mainly in the agri-food sector.

It is known as the fruit and vegetable market of Vittoria is of particular importance in the national plan, forming the main hub for the collection and sorting of agricultural production.

In the six months ahead, the figure of a victorious entrepreneur emerged, who, thanks to the support of the stidda, would have assumed a dominant position in the packaging sector of fruit and vegetables.

The latter, however, has already been hit also by a confiscation203 of goods for a total value of approximately 23 million euros.

It refers to the investigation "Plastic Free" (2019) of the Polizia di Stato referred to 15 affiliates to the DOMINANTECARBONARO clan, as well as to some entrepreneurs of the recycling of plastics, considered responsible, in various ways, of mafia-type criminal association, extortion, illicit competition with threat and violence, injuries, damage followed by fire, detention and illegal port of weapons

Decree kidnapping n. 56/2021 RSS - 2/2022 R.Seq. issued by the Court of Catania - Sez. MP the 31 gennaio 2022.

The order ablative has involved three companies active in the wholesale trade of plastics, collection and management of non-dangerous waste, as well as several registered real estate and furniture, for an estimated total value of approximately 3 million euros.

The recipient of the preventive measure would have structured their economic activities by using the support of leading members of the DOMINANTECARBONARO clan. Decree of confiscation n. 162/2019 RSS – 40/2022 R.D. issued by the Court of Catania - Sez. MP the 18 febbraio 2022.

The ablative measure has covered estimated assets in approximately 5 million euros attributable to an entrepreneur considered to be contiguous to the stidda and already condemned for mafia-type criminal association as considered "external competitor" of the DOMINANTE-CARBONARO clan active in the spider.

OCC n. 397/2022 RGNR and n. 7403/2022 RGGIP issued by the Court of Catania the 25 ottobre 2022 with which the pre-trial detention was arranged for one of the inquiries, already arrested under the operation "Family Affairs" described in the previous semester.

With the same order, the 11 febbraio 2023, at the conclusion of new investigations, the GIP of the Tribunal of Catania has arranged the house arrest for another person under investigation.

In the context of the contrast to the specific field, the Polizia di Stato of Vittoria (RG) the 29 settembre 2022 has undergone arrest, for the production and detention of narcotic substances and abusive port of clandestine weapon, a subject affected.

During the subsequent home search, over 200 kg of marijuana and 180 grams of hashish were seized.
