The 6 ottobre 2022, in Gioia Tauro (RC) and in the provinces of Vibo Valentia, Bari, Naples, Rome, Terni, Vicenza, Milan and Novara, staff of the Guardia di Finanza of Reggio Calabria, as part of the operation "Tre Croci-Cavalli di Gioia"37, has performed to an oCC issued, from the GIP of the Court of Auditors, with 36 persons involved in an international traffic of drugs, aggravated by the purpose of facilitating the 'ndrangheta.

The investigations have unveiled a fraudulent system of management of the container, containing the drugs coming from South America, to the work of a group of harbour operators that transferred them out from the Calabrian port eluding the customs controls through the application of counterfeit seals.

In the district of Rosarno-San Ferdinando would operate the mafia clans PESCE and BELLOCCO that exercise criminal control over harbour activities, manage the traffic of drugs and weapons and are also dedicated to the extortion and to the usury.

In fact, the mafia clan, in virtue of the relations with qualified foreign organizations, was able to get from Brazil huge loads of cocaine, first stored in Switzerland and then transferred to Lombardy to be subsequently ceded to buyers belonging, among others, to Albanian crime.

The criminal consortium, however, was also able to produce in its own large quantities of cannabis indicates, taking care of all stages of processing.

In this context the alliance was emerging, concluded within the surrounding house of Lanciano (PE), between the head of the BELLOCCO and representatives of the SPADA clan of Ostia (RM) in order to the traffics of cocaine between Calabria and the Roman coast and to the resolution of the conflicts between the Roman clan and some Calabrian owners of commercial activities in the urban areas of Ostia and of Anzio (RM).

Conversely, among the economic sectors of particular interest of the mafia clan BELLOCCO has emerged that concerning the exploitation of the Calabrian wood resources object of contrast with the mafia clans LAROSA and LAMARI.

In the Municipality of Seminara (RC) the mafia clans SANTAITI, GIOFFRÈ (cc.ddd. 'Ndoli- Siberia-Geniazzi) and CAIA-LAGANÀ-GIOFFRÈ (cc.ddd. 'Ngrisi): the unresolved contrasts between the families GIOFFRÈ and CAIA do not record, from the date 13 agosto 2009
